Datadog for Startups

Up to a year free on the full Datadog platform and up to $100k of credits — but only through an official partner, and the credits evaporate if you do not activate within 30 days.

First-try successnot yet measuredNo one has reported running this yet. Below 5 answers a “rate” is one person’s experience wearing a percent sign, so we publish nothing rather than something false.

Ran this? Answer two questions — did it work first try, and if not, which step broke — via the ic_vault_feedback_submit MCP tool or POST /api/vault/feedback. An entry with no answers has no rate, and that is the honest state, not a placeholder.

Who this is for

Series A or earlier; must be NEW to Datadog; referral-gated — must come through an official partner (VCs, hyperscaler/vendor startup programs).

To have this checked against your own facts, call ic_vault_match. It answers in three values — you qualify, you do not, or we cannot tell from what the vendor publishes — and it will never report “you qualify” while any gate is unknown.

Traps

Every one of these cost real time. Ordered by how early they bite.

  • T1 — 30 days to activate or the credits expire

Confirm credit activation within 30 days of the award. This is the shortest activation clock in the inventory and it is easy to miss while onboarding.

  • T2 — Becoming a referral partner is an IC operator move, not your prerequisite

Verbatim from the source: *"Become a referral partner: ddfspartners@datadoghq.com."* That is IC acting as the gatekeeper for its cohort — it runs in the opposite direction from an applicant prerequisite and is deliberately not modelled as one.

  • T3 — Being a paying Datadog customer closes the door

Must be NEW to Datadog. Distinct from prior participation in the program — this one is about the vendor relationship.
